STYLE INSPIRATION FROM THE MARC JACOBS '80S PARTY

You know a party is going to be good when it can best be described as a possible Stefon quote. On Thursday night, Marc Jacobs hosted a Brooklyn warehouse party had everything: sequin-covered people on tables, DJ's in positively fabulous drag and a male model wearing a trenchcoat lined with the designer's watches. (Okay!) We knew we were in for a real rager as soon as the invite hit our inboxes. Seriously, check out this dress code:

GLAMOROUS DRESS CODE DOOR POLICY: CHIC 80'S WITH VOLUMINOUS PROPORTIONS. THINK GLORIA VON THURN UND TAXIS AT LE CIRQUE WITH STEPHANIE & CAROLINE OF MONACO. SUCCESS, FAME AND GLAMOUR. PUNK PRINCESS WITH CHISELED CHEEKBONES AND EXAGGERATED BROWS, MAKE BLONDIE AND BROOKE SHIELDS PROUD. MOUSSE THOSE TRESSES AND TOUSLE THEM HIGH FOR A STATEMENT HAIRDO WITH PUMPED UP VOLUME. VERTIGINOUS PUMPS LIKE YOU'RE SITTING PRETTY FOR YOUR ANDY PORTRAIT. A DECORATIVE FRENZY IN ELECTRIC PARADISE; MORE IS MORE. NO POSERS AND DEFINITELY NO PREPPYS. BE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY, AND REMEMBER, GIRLS (AND BOYS) JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!

Eighties-inspired volume and big, voluminous tresses? Only for you, Marc.

The bash was held at a shuttered nightclub in Williamsburg and celebrated the designer's resort 2017 collection. Attendees included members of his model entourage — Hanne Gaby Odiele, Binx Walton, Molly Bair, Issa Lish — plus actresses Stacy Martin and Emma Greenwell. And because no 2016 fashion party is complete without its very own hashtag, odds are you saw more than a couple #marcthenight posts lighting up your Instagram feed.
