PAJAMA DRESSING

Silk pajamas, piping and loungewear were popular choices this past week. If you've ever had trouble getting out of bed in the morning, this one is definitely for you.

THE RIGHT STRIPE

Interested in tricking the eye and adding a few inches to your height? Designers went head to toe with this trend. Stripes were seen on suit combos, dresses, and everything in between. It was a graphic look, to be sure, and one we can't wait to see come spring.

THE COLD SHOULDER

Everyone will be giving the cold shoulder this spring. Between all of the shoulder cut-outs and this incredibly popular off-the-shoulder look (which was everywhere), the collarbone may just be the most important feature for spring 2016.

FRINGED HEMS

Fringe has trended for enough seasons now that it wouldn't generally peak our interest, but for spring 2016, almost every designer who used this swingy embellishment decided that the hem was the right place to do it.

NAUTICAL DETAILS

Details like toggles, stripes and rope were included in many collections to give looks a nautical bent.

This 90s staple came back with a bang right at the beginning of fashion week at BCBG. The topper added a fun, youthful element to each look. We love a good throwback.

MODERN RUFFLES

When one thinks of ruffles, one might recall something girly and frilly. However, ruffles for spring 2016 were more on the slouchy side, and placed sparingly on the body.

ALL CRUMPLED UP

We are more than happy to welcome the carefully crumpled trend which has been so popular in New York. Just think, you never have to worry about ironing!

The Oxford shirt got a much needed revamp this season with feathers, slashes and embellishments.

You'll have to excuse the saying, but orange is the new black for spring 2016. The color can add a pop to any garment, it gets downright shocking when covering the entire body. Still, the bright hue was a popular choice in New York.
