GIRL, INTERRUPTED (1999)
"Girl, Interrupted (1999)" is based on writer Susanna Kaysen's account of her 18-month stay at a mental hospital in the 1960s. But who really fascinated me about this movie was Lisa, played by Angelina Jolie. Damn, she's good. This is a strong slice of the 90's aesthetics, a sort of careless badass that doesn't play by the rules. Corduroy bell bottoms, a basic yellow t-shirt, suede boots and squared sunglasses and you are good to go. To take it to the edge, cut the bags and get into that sassy badass attitude.
